Today, Ana del Rocío announced her decision to transition out of her role as Oregon Futures Lab’s executive director.
Ana made the following statement by email this afternoon: “[W]e’ve set a new direction for our local democracy – one that looks, acts, and feels more like our communities than ever before. I am deeply grateful for your trust, and hopeful for the many victories to come.”
Board Chair Jesse Beason said “OFL would not be where it is and achieved all that we have without Ana's leadership. We're looking forward to celebrating her leadership, and to finding our next visionary leader to help advance a more just, equitable and reflective democracy."
Ana will conclude her time with OFL at the end of 2021. The organization’s advisory board has already begun the executive search process, in conjunction with Equitable Hiring Group’s Melanie Damm.
Leadership transitions are opportunities to reflect, retool and recommit. The organization looks forward to doing that with your input and the input of many others who share in our vision of an Oregon that supports everyone.

About Oregon Futures Lab
Oregon Futures Lab (OFL) is a nonprofit affiliate of Color PAC. We uplift BIPOC leaders to enter public office and govern effectively across Oregon. Elected office and appointed boards and commissions have an incredible impact on people's ability to thrive; it's why those officials must come from all communities — not just communities with access and wealth. Grounded in principles of equity, representation, and racial justice, our work is built on disrupting the ideas of who is best positioned to lead and how leaders are found.
