Erin Kothari (she/her) has been selected by the Oregon Futures Lab’s (OFL) Advisory Board as the organization’s new Executive Director.

OFL’s Transition Committee sees Erin as a perfect match for OFL's next chapter to continue uplifting a network of BIPOC leaders and organizations that support one another before and after Election Day.

Erin joins OFL with a wealth of experience across different areas — as a founding co-chair of the Oregon Students of Color Coalition, former aide to Congressman Mike Honda, and most recently as senior director of operations for RISE Partnership.

“I am honored to continue OFL's work lifting our community’s voices by supporting BIPOC candidates throughout Oregon.” Erin said. “Now is the time we must invest in the candidates who will truly represent our communities’ needs. Be ready to act. Get ready to be involved.”

“Erin is ready to roll up her sleeves and work with our partners and staff to do the critical work of not just winning elections—but helping public officials govern effectively for those most sidelined in our democracy. We're excited to welcome her!” said Jesse Beason, OFL Board Chair.

Erin begins in her new role on December 6. Our departing executive director, Ana del Rocío has agreed to stay on until the end of December to advise Erin as she gets started to help ensure a smooth transition.

About Oregon Futures Lab

Oregon Futures Lab (OFL), formerly known as Color PAC Action, works to uplift BIPOC leaders to enter public office and govern effectively across Oregon. Elected office and appointed boards and commissions have an incredible impact on people's ability to thrive; it's why those officials must come from all communities — not just communities with access and wealth. Grounded in principles of equity, representation, and racial justice, our work is built on disrupting the ideas of who is best positioned to lead and how leaders are found.
