2024 Care for Disruptive Leadership Program
Investing in BIPOC leaders disrupts the conventional leadership model.
The Care for Disruptive Leadership (CDL) program was created to support BIPOC leaders. The intent of the program is to increase retention of BIPOC leaders by creating space for leaders to identify barriers and to explore their own holistic wellness. We acknowledge that BIPOC leaders play multiple roles in their lives, so our leadership program starts by supporting the individual as a whole. OFL uses a Trauma Informed Care (TIC) framework in developing and administering the program.
Our facilitators will be Vo Vo, social worker, educator, and antiracist Community Centered Specialist and Sidney Morgan, a Restorative and Transformative Justice practitioner and coach.
The CDL program works in four parts:
In-person orientation in Portland (April / 2.5 hours)
Virtual Monthly TIC group cohort sessions with a facilitator (May - September / 90 minutes)
Virtual Monthly individual check-ins with OFL staff to encourage participant progress (May - December / 30 minutes)
Individual funding support for our BIPOC leaders to seek care resources through the duration of the program.
Applications for the 2024 program cycle are now closed.
